August 2017 Have you tried these Genius Solutions? We've been working hard adding new features, reports, and generally making eTHOMAS and your office life more awesome & we want to make sure you know about all of it! Here are some outstanding eTHOMAS highlights you might not know about that were added to eTHOMAS from versions 9.5.18 - 9.5.34. Please remember, these aren't all, you can look online in our special help link from within eTHOMAS to access all of this documentation and more. We also have a lot of "How to" and other helpful videos in the same place and on our YouTube channel. Our special feature this month is the Appointment Finder Report: "How to find patients who haven't scheduled an appointment in a while" (Also known in Genius slang as the "Find Pats w/o Appts report" This report will let you define your time range and then look for patients who don't have appointments scheduled. It will help you to help your patients by allowing you to remind them to schedule appointments for their best health and to help you keep your calendar full and healthy too. Other Fab new features & reports you might not be aware of- Adding/Expiring Doctor Codes Adding a new doctor to your system is easier than ever- You now have the ability to request the addition or expiration of a doctor code through eTHOMAS. Autoposting Validations (page 7) Just as you can set up validations as checks for when you post charges for billing, you can now set up similar validation rules to help speed up your autoposting time and accuracy. Claim Filing Limit Report (watch the video) With the increasingly short filing window for claims, two new fields have been added to the Claim Information screen: the "Last Worked on Date" and "Follow Up Date" fields. These dates will allow you to utilize the new eTHOMAS Claim Filing Limit Report. If you are interested, we have a new video to walk you through this new feature report. Cycle Statements (page 10) Instead of waiting until the next month to send a statement to a patient, you can run Cycle Statements. Cycle statements will allow you to prepare statements for patients that have had new activity posted to their account since their last statement (includes charges, payments, transfer balances, debits, and credits). If they were in today, you don't have to wait a month to bill them, you could bill daily, or even weekly. Getting that bill into the patients' hands while the charges and service are still fresh in their mind leads to quicker payment action on their part. Direct Scanning For Patient Documents(EnableEnhancedMedia) eTHOMAS has always had the ability to attach various types of media (pictures, faxes, etc.) to a patient's file, now you can scan a document directly into the patient's file. No scan, then attach.... simply scan from within the patient. Editing TRABAL Reason Codes (page 17) The Audit Reason from the Post Insurance Payment may now be edited through the History of the Transaction Edit. You can edit/modify/add up to 30 characters. This feature is useful if the incorrect reason was chosen at the time of posting, or if additional information needs to be added afterward. Statement Notes (page 13) A statement note button has been added to the Post Insurance Payment screen. The Statement Note will add an additional line on the patient's Transaction Ledger and on their Statement (if "Show on Statement" is checked). You will need to activate a system setting and add a procedure code to use this feature. Statement Series (Statement Preparation and Sending by Office Defined Groups) You can now set up your statements to prepare and send in a series of groups. For example- you may want to send all of your Medicare statements together the third week of the month, rather than the first week with all of the other statements. Now you can. Coming Soon- Adding and updating your ICD-10 codes for the 2018 code set! We just got our hands on the new 2018 ICD-10 codes and are working double hard to clean them up and get them ready for you to "easy load" into THOMAS. We'll let you know as soon as they are ready to go so you can update and add them.
