Would you agree that overall, chiropractors are a pretty tough
group of professionals? We have overcome being put in jail for practicing
without a license, a concerted effort by the AMA to rid us from healthcare, and
major discrepancies in the third-party reimbursements throughout the
years. Today, we face the Coronavirus with all the stress, frustration,
anxiety and reduction in patient numbers. Throughout all the years of our
profession facing various hurdles, we have stuck together and survived. We will do the same to get through this crisis.

Your Own Economic Recovery
You can start your own
economic recovery now by doing the following:
·
Call your chiropractic friends and offer words of encouragement
to one another. Pain does not know there is a pandemic in the world,
patients still need chiropractic for symptomatic relief.
·
If you are still open and seeing patients, change the context of
the conversation away from anything Coronavirus related. I believe
patients need and want to hear a positive conversation, one filled with
hope. This may be a good time to discuss some wins you have had in the
office with difficult cases such as headaches, disc problems, sciatica,
etc.
·
Enhance your education and training on documentation and
coding. You are losing revenue with incorrect coding in the following
areas.
