Genius Solutions has released eTHOMAS version 9.5.65. This release includes the 2021 ICD-10 data set. The 2021 diagnosis codes are required on all claims with a date of service from October 1, 2020 - September 30, 2021. There are 490 additional diagnosis codes, 58 deletions, and 47 revisions.
In order to access these codes, you will need to update eTHOMAS to the latest version 9.5.65. This version was released on 9/22/2020.
To revise descriptions and expire deleted code:
- Choose the tab Utility from the tabs on top of your eTHOMAS screen.
- Choose the Maintenance button from the left-hand menu bar.
- Choose the Check DX Codes.
- On your screen, you will see a list of any code that is revised or expired.
- Users then can choose to Print (if you want to review the list) or choose to Replace all (which will update your eTHOMAS code files)
Adding new diagnosis codes:
- For the tab Code Files on the top of your eTHOMAS screen.
- Choose the Procedure button on the left-hand menu bar.
- Choose Diagnosis
- Choose the little folder with the blue down arrow on it to download and import the ICD10 codes.
- In the Select For box look for categories of codes that you use. After each category, there will be a group that states the codes and (2021).
a. Example: A00-B99 Certain infections and parasitic disease
A00-B99 (2021) Certain infections and parasitic disease [This section only includes codes that have been added in 2021.]
b. If the code2021 section is empty no new codes have been added to that section. - Codes can also be added during the posting charges screen as well.
