EHR Users-Quality Payment Program Deadlines are Quickly Approaching. Are you ready?

 Dear Valued Customers,


October 3rd, 2021 is the last day to start the 90-day performance period for MIPS Promoting Interoperability (PI) and Improvement Activities and it is quickly approaching. Our EHR staff has a few friendly reminders for you to prepare for your attestation at the end of the year:

Run Your Numbers
Don't wait until October 3rd to run your numbers. We recommend that you start running your numbers as soon as you can so you are not playing catch up. If there are any numbers that are falling below your ideal threshold, give us a call and we will walk you through how to improve your numbers.

Check Your Login Credentials
Over the years, we have seen many customers struggle with their attestation because they never checked their login credentials before their attestation date. The website to reset the password tends to get overloaded closer to major deadlines. We don't want that to happen to you. Our staff is encouraging that all current QPP participants to make sure they are able to log into their portal for a smooth attestation.

Update Your Security Risk Assessment
A Security Risk Assessment should be performed or reviewed every year. While QPP does not ask you to submit this assessment, we want to remind all our clients to continue to record, track, and review this report. You do not want to get audited without one.

Document Your Improvement Activities
Generally, 2 high-weighted activities, 1 high-weighted activity, and 2 medium-weighted activities, or 4 medium-weighted activities will be selected to be performed for an office's attestation. In case of an audit, we recommend that you document all your improvement activities with as much evidence to provide your participation. Please visit QPP's website regarding Improvement Activities. Under Additional Resources, you will find a Quick Start Guide and a MIPS Data Validation Criteria of what they are looking for as evidence.
