eTHOMAS v 9.2+

Whoo-hooo!  We love a challenge and we love to add new accessories as much as you do, so I am pleased to give you a glimpse of the shiny, new, upcoming eTHOMAS v 9.2 release.  Now at the outset I can see your faces drooping saying “yeah, sure, new because you have to for the 5010 electronic format”.  However, we’re not just any software vendor, if we’re going to have a number change it’s because we want to give something more to our clients—YOU!  And did I mention?  We’re Genius.

So I heard from a secret, deep inside Genius source about some of the nifty new things that you can be looking forward to in the upcoming release, and I’ll give you the heads-up on my favorites now:

Ok, let’s get it out of the way—Tah-Da, the new 5010 e-claims version.
Stop worrying about the 5010 changeover, we’ve done the worrying for you and now, there is nothing to worry about.  We are in the process of doing some beta testing with the new format now and before we release v9.2 to you.  Unfortunately, this makes the v9.2 release date a bit “airy”.  We are tentatively planning to release it to you this summer or early fall, depending on when we can complete testing with some of the major clearing houses.  Some clearing houses are ready and testing, some are still preparing for testing.

Some of my favorite changes are in the Patient Information area.
There is a new “cell phone” field and you can tell THOMAS what someone’s preferred method of contact is both generally and for ADAMS as well.  Further, you will have additional (and multiple) contact options with ADAMS, you will be able to text message or e-mail a reminder to your patients in addition to calling and leaving messages (of course you will want to confirm those options with them before using them as they may be charged for them).

You will have more control over your old code files.
You will be able to expire your own tracking doctors.  You will also be able to set effective and expiration dates on your insurance, procedure profile, POS, and modifier code files.

New Reports.
What’s an update without a couple of new reports?  Oh, and other’s get some new options to play with.  There is a new “Payer Report” as well as a new “Total Patient Payment Report”.  (Like all new reports, to use them, you will have to “turn them on”.)

Again, the current desire is to get the new v9.2 update to you this summer.
You will be able to get it in the normal and usual way, when you run the autoupdate program for eTHOMAS.  Until then, if you are not on version 9.1+, you won’t be able to get version 9.2 when it becomes available.  Also, as with other updates, if you are on a current Softcare plan, your updates are included (even the ones with the bells and whistles).  We can hardly wait to give you new stuff.  Updates with new tools and toys are like a present from us to you and we work hard to make your office lives better.  Genius designed, with you in mind.
